I'm glad you came to the site. My interest is in the spiritual as well. However, strictly speaking, I don't believe our actions determine our eternity. I believe the actions of Jesus Christ, and our acceptance or rejection of Him alone determine how we will spend eternity. Also, while the Dalai Lama has some interesting things to say, I do not believe he has the answers mankind needs. Christ alone can bring salvation to man.

As to female snipers, would it be easier to understand if they were ugly? :) Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Either way, that Hitler's army had to be stopped (with the use of violence) that's for sure, but my interest is especially in the spiritual. Any man (or woman :-) who has knowledge into the spiritual/other dimension will tell you that your actions DO have effect on your soul/being .

You create your own heaven and hell, in a way (they say when you die ,you are going to see and feel what you have done to others...).

The Dalai Lama (leader of the Tibetan Buddhists) even says that killing in self defence does give you problems in your next life. (I think one has the right to defend himself by the way. No one should let himself being slaughtered by anyone.)

And I understand (and think is necessary) that people use violence against types like Hitler (or Stalin, a person who wasn't stopped by violence or anything, he was someone who kept on killing his own people) to stop them from killing innocent people...which they do. Hitler would have killed even more if he had the chance.

But the Tibetans had not the strength to stop the Chinese from being overrun. Even if they wanted to stop the Chinese. They tried.

Be that as it may, it always sadden me to see that people kill and torture each other.

The general wehrmacht soldier was not a person with the ideas a Goebles or Göhring had. I think they were all lied to anyway.

I came onto your site because I was googling on female snipers. (I was wondering why such nice looking women, many of them do look nice, are able to to do such destrutive acts) this story took my attention:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanya_Baramzina

The way she ended...her eyes being gouged out.
I just can't understand that.

War is hell.

Well, I don't believe in karma so...

I don't know if she considered herself a hero or not, but I would certainly classify her as such.

Certainly trying to stop hitler and his wicked ideas was a necessity, and it is precisely because it was necessary and because it was such a nasty job that people like Lyudmila Pavlichenko are considered heroes.

I'm sure there were some ‘good’ men (as far as mankind in his fallen state can be good) killed by her, and this too adds to her status as hero. Heroes do the things that must be done when no one else wants to or can do it.

I wonder whether killing so many people is bad for your karma.
be it defending a country or not.

I DO KNOW,that there is more between heaven and earth than most people can see.

if I would have done what she did I wouldn't consider myself a hero.
maybe trying to stop hitler and his wicked ideas is a necessity.but a hero?maybe there were some 'good'(i know it sounds contradict) men killed by her ,who just fought in hitlers army cause they thought you got a do what you gotta do.
you know.
like the young guys did going to vietnam.
