I recently heard Kevin Bacon discussing his “charity gig” SixDegrees.org while watching the special features from Death Sentence (which was pretty good flick by the way). Anyway I thought I would head on over and see what was happening. These were the top 10 “charities” at the time I visited the site. Notice anything that that makes you ask some questions?
- 610 Donations–The 11th Hour Animal Rescue Inc
- 282 Donations–Newnan-Coweta Humane Society Inc
- 277 Donations–Saving Georgia Dogs
- 203 Donations–Survivors Advocating For An Effective System Dba Backbone Campaign
- 94 Donations–Hope Animal Rescues
- 93 Donations–Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition, Inc.
- 72 Donations–Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation
- 72 Donations–Achievement Rewards For College Scientists Foundation
- 67 Donations–A Small Victory
- 65 Donations–Feathers Foundation Inc
1,421 of the top 1,835 donations have been made to insure animals treated fairly, have a warm place to sleep, and are well fed; while charities aimed at political change, military recognition , scientific achievements, and grieving mothers garnered a grand total of 414 donations. Can you say six degrees of useless?

Maybe the government should raise taxes and start taking care of animals like it takes care of people. That’ll even it out a bit.
