Merry Christmas…
Casual Male…
Apparently Dick’s Sporting Goods isn’t the only company that thought it would be a good idea to hand out some Christmas cheer. Casual Male, a retailer in big and tall clothes, sent me $20 gift card in the mail this year too!
In addition, my wife received a free stamp set in the mail from Stampin’ Up! yesterday. My wife is a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and tells me that the set won’t be released to the public until next Spring. She says the value of the set is around $17.
In all, our family has received almost $60 worth of free merchandise for Christmas this year from various companies. I am impressed.
Dick’s Sporting Goods…
Today I received what amounts to the most unexpected Christmas gift ever. When I saw the printed label on this particular “Christmas card” I knew it was just junk mail, but I opened it anyway. It was a good thing I did because inside was a $20 gift card from Dick’s Sporting Goods! I have spent what I would consider a substantial amount of money at Dick’s Sporting Goods over the last couple of years, but I have spent substantial amounts of money at lots of places and they certainly didn’t send me a gift card of any kind. I’ve always liked the store (they sell firearms), but I really like them now!
Also, this is in addition to the Dick’s Sporting Goods’ ScoreCard which I have used to purchase at least $30 of free merchandise that I earned shopping at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Fear…
I know a lot of people that have Hoplophobia and Ballistophobia. Sometimes I think those same people have Eleutherophobia.
I have a friend that seems to have Aphenphosmphobia (or Haphephobia or Haptephobia).
Me? I guess I have a pretty good case of Agateophobia. I also have a recurring theme in many of my dreams that
seems to indicate a slight case of Psellismophobia. I may also have Eremophobia or Monophobia (or both). As long as I can remember I have had a fear of false imprisonment, but I couldn’t locate the phobia for that.
